Narita Airport -
Shinjuku
Landed in Narita Airport at 1400. After get out from the
arrival gate, look for keisei skyliner ticketing counter. We bought the Keisei
Skyliner round trip + Tokyo subway 2 days pass (¥ 5100) as we know we will be
at around Tokyo for 2 days before going to Kyoto.
Keisei Skyliner takes you from airport to Nippori and Ueno
station then transfer by metro or JR to major stations around Tokyo.
There is another type of train takes you from Narita Airport
to major stations in Tokyo without a need to transfer. But, after the cost
comparison, I decided to take on Keisei Skyliner.
May check online for their latest information and latest promotion. Currently they provide tourists for ticket online purchasing which include the packages of skyliner + subway.
They do provide wifi within the train. But you must ask from the officer at the ticketing counter. They will pass you a card with the username and password written on it then you may access it all the way to your destination.
Once take off from Keisei Skyliner at Ueno station, then buy
a ticket to Shinjuku as our accommodation is there (JR Ueno to Shinjuku ¥200).
Checked in to an accommodation which can occupied the 5 of
us which booked from Airbnb.com. Junko's Shinjuku Apartment The
owner who named Junko is a kind and friendly person who took us for a dinner at Menya Musashi Honten; means the headquarter (google map) which is
highly recommended by local people.
They served great food ie. Super juicy pork belly ramen. Only you would know until you try. They are hardly to be described with words but only feeling.
Well, dinner is done and head back to apartment to rest for another exciting day!
